Savannah
Welcome to the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy Savannah satellite campus. Located on the coastline of Georgia, Savannah is known for its charm and southern hospitality. The beautiful landscape is accentuated by the historic homes and mansions still standing from eras past.
Perhaps less well known is the vibrant community of students and residents in not just pharmacy but all healthcare disciplines. This inviting town offers our students a multitude of clinical sites to visit at which to train.
Savannah has two major health systems operating large hospitals: Memorial Health University Medical Center and St. Joseph's Candler Healthsystem. Both Health systems offer a multitude of practice experiences.
The University of Georgia College of Pharmacy Savannah satellite campus also has close ties to other pharmacy practice sites to further our students' skills and awareness of the many opportunities in the profession. There are community pharmacies (both chain and independent), nuclear, compounding, physician office practice, special populations, and many, many others.
We also teach and practice pharmacy in other parts of Southeast Georgia notably Waycross, Brunswick, and Jesup and the surrounding communities where we have sites in several hospitals and a host of other kinds of practice sites.
The Office of Experience Programs is responsible for the oversight of all early and advanced practice experiences offered through the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy.
